Build a Friend

As we grow older and face the more serious and challenging phases of our lives, we also grow out of the simpler times of our youth. One of these things that can be lost is our imaginative side. Being creative is more encouraged when we are kids, but why shouldn’t it be something we get to do all the time? Practicing your more artistic side is proven to increase happiness and temporarily relieve stress. This idea is what prompted my capstone. 

Inspired by my passion for handmade elements, I designed Build a Friend. Build a Friend is a clay craft kit designed with the intent to appeal to all ages. It would include a handful of clay, some tools, and paint. It’s a motivator to take a break and make a unique little friend.
