This project is an immersive, movie theater experience featuring 3 movie posters for The Hunger Games, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. Inspired by the shame of knowingly contributing to resource waste, these familiar favorites have been adapted to new stories about food, textile, and plastic waste. Like when you buy too much food and it expires before it can all be eaten; when you buy excessive amounts of clothes from cheap, online distributers that end up falling apart and getting thrown away; when you’re too lazy to check if plastic packaging is recyclable and just toss it in the garbage. Just because you can’t fix the problem of resource waste on your own, doesn’t mean you have to keep contributing to it. Watching movies is a spectator activity, but these are not movies you want idly watch play out.
Grab free tickets to the movies at the ticket booth to learn more about how you can make a difference. Don’t sit back and enjoy the show. Act now.
