After the critique on Monday, i really started trying to think deeper about how and when to give feedback for other peoples designs. Some people have a really good sense for how to improve a design, but sometimes it is hard to figure out what exactly someone could do to make their designs more successful, unless its blaringly obvious that something doesn’t work. I still was not very pleased with my design, I felt it did not look sophisticated, although maybe it could get there, i was not sure how to make it better or look less naive. I stumbled across this article on facebook and thought it was very relevant, also the posters that designers had made talking about the interaction between designer and client were hilarious and definitely worth looking at.
The thing i love about web design is that simple is better. Clean and clear typography is a must and simplicity makes it easier to intake and understand as an experience. I am excited for this next project, just picking a topic will take a little bit. i’m hoping we get a lot of time in class to work on theses processes while moving closer to the due date.
