In class today, we were grouped up to write html for our type designs from scratch. I seriously had a hard time understanding the process. When we had instructions from the book, everything was fine since we just had to follow the tutorial step by step, but I have to admit that I started to really appreciate that coding is very logical, so I think when we started coding in small doses with the cheat sheet, it was quite helpful. Of course, as more details and arrangements come in, ranging from a single type choice to the web page as a whole, the challenge will take me to another dimension of art’s creation in coding as art. For now, I will begin with naming each tag wisely. It has demonstrated in class that it is essential to give a tag a proper name. Not only for our own benefit, but it also makes it easier for other operators to understand which name is addressed for when they look at our html or style sheet.
