My Story

My name is Emily Gauger, I have lived in Omaha my whole life and came to Lincoln for school. I am a Fine Arts major with an emphasis in graphic design. I have always loved every area of art, drawing was always my favorite. I decided to go into design because the idea of creating something that is apart of everyday life really intrigued me. Most people don’t even notice that the whole world around them is designed and I find it really interesting that I am able contribute to this designed world.

I have yet to find my own style. I am still experimenting with that. I am also not sure exactly what I want to do with design in a later career. My dream job would be to design for Disney. But magazine design and movie poster design also really intrigue me. I guess I’ll see where the wind takes me.
