helvetica

helvetica has become synonymous with present-day slab serif. It's has little quirks that keep it friendly and charming, but it's greatest strength is its versatility. Check out how it looks italicized: a completely casual yet different feeling than the normal style. To characterize it in one word: "editorial", which is great for headers and framing content.

Helvetica

helvetica Nova can best be classified as a contemporary Arial, in terms of popular usage. Many sites use it for its approachability and posture. It's no frills, incredibly readable, and a great choice clearfix for body copy.

Continuing a remarkable musical tradition, New Trier presents the Annual Winter Music Festival this Sunday, Dec. 12, at 3 p.m. in Gates Gymnasium on the Winnetka Campus.

For 93 years, this free concert has provided an opportunity for the New Trier Music Department to share with local residents of all ages a broad selection of popular and seasonal music, showcasing all of the high school’s bands, orchestras, and choirs. Each of the 800 students involved in music ensembles at New Trier will perform during the Festival.

The Music Department’s annual “gift to the community” will be broadcast live on Channel 18 in Winnetka, Glencoe, and Kenilworth, and on Channel 16 in Wilmette and Northfield. In addition, this performance will be webcast live worldwide on the Internet on www.ntjazz.com, and simulcast in stereo on WNTH, 88.1 FM.

“They have such wonderful tales to tell of their time at New Trier, and we are humbled that so many of them choose to take time from their busy schedules to return to their alma mater. It is a privilege for our students to spend time learning from them.”Linda Yonke, District 203 Superintendent
