Part 2

INFEWS/T4: Educational immersive simulations to enhance understanding of corn-water-ethanol-beef system nexus

PART 2 – Game Strategy & Wireframing
As students begin to sketch, ideate, brainstorm they will begin by creating a user-centric approach to each of their team areas. Students will create detailed Player Personas of the product’s target audience and Character Personas of the assumed gamer player “roles”.

Simulation games encourage players to experience and internalize the reality of what it means to be a “Character” living in a complex, risk-prone environment. How does living the life of another each us? Does cultural/social biases or stereotypes help us engage with scientific learning outcomes or reinforce problems inherent in the game. What role does compassion play in role playing?

Students will brainstorm engagement techniques while wireframing their scene.

Deliverable:
Detailed scene wireframes including functional specifications, Player Personas, Character Personas, Engagement Strategy
